Sizing Things Up

I found a stash of old clothes today. That was interesting. They were all bigger, random sizes: everything from 18 through 24. My husband asked if I could get both of my legs into one of the pant legs on a particularly large pair of corduroys and I could. Wow!

The thing that astounded me the most though is when I realized why I had put away all of those clothes and somehow forgotten about them. At some point, they were all too small.

FOOD & BEVERAGES:
- 5 glasses of water
- 1 banana
- 1 toasted raisin English muffin with pepperoni and cheese slices
- 3/4 cup peach yogurt with 1 cup Rice Krispies cereal
- 4 cups beef and broccoli
- 1 mug eggnog steamed skim milk
- 1 1/2 pears

EXERCISE:
- 10 squats

  1. I am glad you don't fit into any of them. That is a plus. Good job on your intake today. Looks like you are feeling better and on the right track.

  2. That's such an awesome feeling isn't it? I used to lay out my biggest pair of jeans with what I was currently wearing when I'd get down... Unfortunatly now I'm just back out of my 2nd biggest pair again.

  6. It's so great to have victories like you described to hang onto during challenging times.

I am sorry for insulting you in suggesting that the blog was perhaps a study for an article. I am sorry if that hurt you. Enough people have tried to explain the reasoning behind the thoughts, so I will just leave it at - I am sorry. I was wrong. Please forgive me.

We all struggle in different ways and you should be allowed to express your struggle in your own way.

  7. That's so awesome! I hope you didn't keep any of the clothes? I tend to keep clothes that are bigger in case I gain weight again (which I have done and surpassed the size I was keeping in case). Once I lose weight I don't feel confident enough to throw the old, too-big for me clothes, but it seems like it would be really liberating! Hope you'll do it if you haven't already. I can live vicariously through you for now! :)
