It was a really good day, but I am beat! Life seems to be a whirlwind right now and I am trying to keep up. Days like today – where I get to spend time with people who are important to me – makes feeling so hectic a little easier. It was nice to relax for a few short hours this evening before I was off to tackle more things on my ever-growing list of tasks and errands. At least my mental health got a brief break!

I'm glad you got a break. Mental health needs to be exercised too. ;)
ReplyDeleteI know you haven't been responding to commenters--and some of the comments are probably better left unacknowledged--but I was wondering if you might address my question in one of your posts.
ReplyDeleteQuestion: What is your purpose for posting your food consumption? I mean, why do you keep telling us what you eat?
The listing of that feels self-abusive. I assume that you originally listed your food as an accountability tool. But, obviously, that is not working for you right now.
Like I said, it just feels abusive to yourself to continue to hang that list out there for the world to see.
But, then, I don't know your purpose for doing it. So before I blather on about it, I thought maybe you'd answer that for me.
Thanks, 266. I do realize that you don't owe anyone an explanation.
Hugs & prayers,
Vera
Maybe you should read this -- morgangetsthin.blogspot.com ... She did what you are doing. She lost over 100 pounds and put it all back on. Take some advice ... smarten up now before it's too late!
ReplyDeleteYou had a relatively good day with NO ice cream blend!! How do you feel? Going to try for two? Hang in there!!
ReplyDeleteHow can you call that a GOOD day?
ReplyDeleteI am glad to see you are still posting your thoughts, food intake, and exercise. That is something positive. I believe you are doing the best you can right now. That is enough, really. Also, you ate less today than on many other recent days, and that too may indicate progress. I recall that you frequently lost weight eating a similar type of diet. As much as people want to believe there are perfect magic formulas to follow for *success*, you are a unique individual and may be making significant progress (physically, emotionally, mentally or spiritually), which others cannot detect.
ReplyDeleteMost of all, I am glad that you report an improvement in your mental health. I hope you will continue to reach out for help when you are able. Struggle is the human condition, and yet so are love and compassion, of which you too are worthy.
Peace to you,
Robin
No ice cream blend! Woohoo!
ReplyDeleteI'm not so sure about 10 squats being considered exercise. You need to go for a run and clear your mind. Everyone is busy, it's up to you to find the time.
Honey, this is your journey and don't you let anyone NOT ANYONE tell you how its supposed to go.
ReplyDeleteGlad you took care of your mental health. Being amongst friends and family who really love you is so important.
I don't see the listing of food as self-abuse. I see it as honesty--prolly more honesty than a other bloggers who may fudge about what they REALLY consume, then wonder why they gain weight. It's an honest list, if not pretty (weight-loss wise).
ReplyDeleteI am glad your day was better for your mind/stress/outlook. EAting-wise, yeah, not so great, but sometimes, the mind health precedes getting back to the food health. Does seem like less sugary-treats and that's always a good thing.
I wish you well, babe. Hang in there..
I checked out Morganisthin... so sad.
