No-Brainer

It definitely wasn’t the best eating day. I was on the go and rushing around for the majority of the afternoon and evening and I think that I reverted to what were been easy, no-brainer decisions in the past. I need to remember that things like bananas and whole grain baked goods are usually just as accessible as everything else. I need to try harder.

FOOD & BEVERAGES:
- 3 glasses of water
- 1 Mandarin orange
- 3 caramel chocolate chip rice cakes
- 1 piece of a peanut butter square with icing
- 1 lemon Danish
- 1/2 bagel with cream cheese
- 1 mug eggnog steam skim milk
- 2 large ginger molasses cookies
- 1 cheese bagel with light cream cheese
- 3/4 cup fat free peach yogurt with 1 cup granola cereal
- 1 glass cranberry ginger ale

EXERCISE:
- 1 hour walk

  2. I'll echo what Miz wrote...today is a new opportunity to make healthy choices.

I keep coming here hoping that I'll see you lift yourself out of whatever it is that is happening in your life to make you return to old, unhealthy patterns of behavior. Must admit that it's been hard to come here and read your entries/food lists. It seems like you have kind of derailed from your path to good health. Regardless of the weight loss or weight gain - seems like your food choices are not supporting a healthy lifestyle - one in which you will have energy and won't be physically/mentally/emotionally tired.

Please know that I don't say this out of judgment for your choices. As someone who is a compulsive/emotional eater, I completely recognize and empathize with where you must be at right now.

Although we've never met...I hope you won't think it terribly presumptuous of me to say that I'm worried about you. Or that I'm sending healing energy your way.

  3. Just curious if you recognize the following as your words. "I am starting this blog to help keep myself on track. My plan is to advertise the URL on a website or two to try and attract some followers who will help keep me in check. One of my main failings in my past weight loss efforts has been that I don't hold myself accountable, so I am hoping that some nice people out there will basically stay on my tail, encourage me when I'm doing well, and kick butt when I have been letting things slide. I am not looking for abuse, but guidance, suggestions, wisdom, understanding, and advice are more than welcome!" My advice just for today is eat something healthy. Nobody can be healthy eating the junk that you do day after day. Start with a couple of fruits and vegetables. How about some vegetable soup? Good luck.

  5. I, for one, am excited for you. This is the FIRST POST since your anniversary that I've seen you say something acknowledging that you need to try harder and make better choices.
It's the first time you've admitted (sort of) that you've been eating like crap. Yes, healthy snacks are just as easy to grab as the junk food. I keep Nature Valley granola bars in my van, I always have a banana or apple on hand and I often bring along little individual packeges of Tillamook Cheddar.
That, and I ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS have my water bottle with me. I even carry it around the house with me during the day.
A few small changes can go a long way towards making you feel better.
Take each choice individually, one at a time. You'll get back there. I know you will

  6. 1. you logged your food
    2. you posted it here on your blog
    3. you spent the longest time active lately
    4. it's obvious you've worked on your calories

That's off the top of my head. I bet there are 10 positive things to every negative one on this page. Including your own. Keep going. I'm pulling for you.

  9. For those of you tired of watching "266" post the same foods over and over again, not post her weight, and ignore your comments and support ... please feel free to visit my blog. I am just getting started but I could use some active commentators like all of you through my journey. I'm in week 4 now and have lost 13.5 lbs so far. Additionally, not only am I posting my food intake and exercise but I am also posting the calories in and calories out as a result of the food/exercise.

I'm going to do what "266" has done but I'm not going to quit or give up when I plateau like she did in June and I'm going to need ALL of you to help me remember that promise when the time comes.
