Going Up

Today was so much mentally better than yesterday. My emotions have been all over the place lately, but I really needed the stress release that this evening brought. The morning and afternoon were very up and down, just as the past couple of weeks have been, but tonight I actually had a really great time and feel so much healthier and more relaxed for it. I got to spend time with one of my best friends who I haven’t been able to connect with for well over a month and we have even made plans to see one another again next week. It’s amazing how uplifting just being around the people you care about can be!

I really do feel great! I am very, very tired as is my typical condition of late, but I feel extremely positive and somehow energized despite my fluttering eyelids.

I think I have made a decision about where I am going on this journey, but I am going to wait until I am more awake to commit to it fully. Tomorrow morning, after a good night’s sleep, I will ponder the last few details before I finalize it in my own mind.

Wow! It is really good to feel such an improvement in my mood!

  1. I worry about your constant fatigue. Getting proper rest and balancing work/play is part of a healthy lifestyle.

    Hang in there.

  2. Glad to hear you're feeling better, and I hope it continues :) I look forward to your next post and to hear more about where you're going to go from here. Make sure you keep getting lots of sleep - it makes facing life's issues so much easier.

  3. Glad to hear you're feeling positive! We all have set-backs, that's part of life, but its the bouncing back that is important. Sounds like you have found a path that will work for you, that's awesome! Just remember, one day at a time!

  4. First of all, your sequence of weight-loss pics is amazing! Today I am blog hopping and drawn to those that have (or had) a great deal of weight to lose, like me!

My recent blog post was about how carbs make me feel and I wonder if that has anything at all to do with your fatigue? I noticed that almost every item on your list of foods eaten consisted of carbs. I haven't yet worked my way back reading through your journey, and you obviously have had success following your plan, but before limiting carbs (even some "healthy" ones) I was ALWAYS tired and sleepy.

Thanks for sharing your story -- I'm following you now!

    Dee :D

  5. Thanks, all! I have really been lacking in the sleep department lately, but I do see a light at the end of the tunnel. I am often too good at pushing through these busy times for my own good!

Dee, it could have something to do with the carbs, but more likely it's a combination of my lack of sleep and a deviation from the general healthier eating I have slipped away from a bit over the last little while. Thanks so much for reading!
