Pressure Cooker

I am feeling good about the decision I made to temporarily stop my attempts to lose more weight. I think that maintaining for a while was a wise move and I feel a little like a weight – which has nothing to do with pounds – has been lifted off of me these past few weeks. It has got me thinking about how I am often guilty of putting undo stress on myself. Personally, I think that more than any other factor it is simply me that I feel pressure from. What about you?

I MOSTLY FEEL PRESSURE FROM:

  1. I think it's a good idea to just relax for a bit and maintain the weight. It will recharge you and then you can be on your way towards your final goal.

  2. We put so much unnecessary pressure on ourselves. I'm quite terrible about that. Excess pressure is never helpful, so I think you're wise to relax a little :)

  4. For me, I am not feeling pressured. I try to think of this as a lifestyle. There is no race, no finish line. When I get there I will get there. And when I get there, I am sure there will be more for me to do. I just keep plugging along each day. Doing the best I can. Make mistakes? Yes daily, I just pick myself back up each day. Pressing on! That's what I do. Hugs!

  6. No one even mentions my weight to me anymore. I think they learned long ago that I don't take criticism well. Yet, I continue to berate mself every timee i fall off the wagon.

I think giving yourself a diet break is a great idea. Stressing yourself out for months at a time is no better than being overweight.
