Furious!
Why is it that I'm sitting here fuming and all I can think about is food?! I am beyond angry for a wide variety of reasons, and all I hear running through my head is the messed up ramblings of a brain crying out for stuffed crust pizza, hot caramel sundays, and a huge slice of cheesecake. I just want to bawl! Why am I built like this?!?

I get it. I hear you! It feels like eating that pizza will help. It feels like it will comfort, but that's a lie! It doesn't help. It's such a short feeling of satisfaction and it doesn't take the anger away. Deal with the anger in a new way this one time!!! I'm rooting for you and I hope you calm down and work it through. I get it, oh do I get it!
ReplyDeleteI hope you calm down soon. Maybe you could go for a walk and calm down? I hope you feel better soon!!
ReplyDeleteI think we do that because it's better to think about food than what caused the anger. I hope you are feeling better.
ReplyDeleteLet your anger fuel your determination to live a better lifestyle!
ReplyDeleteDon't give in to the emotion and eat for comfort -- you will find more comfort knowing that you resisted temptation.
Turn the negative into a positive step forward!
Hey 266!! I have been here too many times to count!!
ReplyDeleteIf you can, go for a brisk walk or do some form of exercise...it's worked for me....you get to clear your thoughts a bit and blow off some steam at the same time!! Stay strong and don't give in to the evil food cravings!! Hang in there hon and go back and read your first post on your blog!! :) Stay strong - I'M ROOTING FOR YOU!!! YOU CAN DO IT!!!! :)
The last time someone was completely, utterly, cut-them-off-at-the-knees-or-perhaps-a-wee-bit-higher rude to me for no reason, I was at a bookstore. I went off and bought a kickboxing video.
ReplyDeleteThat evening, rather than chowing down on wine, whining, and chocolate eclairs, I watched that video. I punched that guy and I kicked that guy, and I beat him to a virtual pulp. Which was satisfying both physically and emotionally. Seriously, it beat even a chocolate eclair for mood enhancement.
You want pizza? Let's make some pizza.. HEALTHY STYLE! TJ's test kitchen JUST posted a healthy pizza tonight.. I think it was fate.
ReplyDeleteThe one thing you don't want to do is ruin your hard work on something you know you will regret later. Instead, fill the craving with a healthy alternative and be proud!
I know, it is like cutting off your own nose to spite your face, isn't it? Who are we damaging when we binge out of anger, no-one but ourselves.
ReplyDeleteLoving all the above suggestions. A nice walk usually helps me too.
I hope you are feeling a bit better soon!
You are all so great! Thnk you so much for all your great words of advice and thoughtful encouragment. Binge averted!
ReplyDelete(((Hugs))) I had a few moments where I felt the same yesterday but we were heading out the door so I was able to skip the binge. It's hard. I know. :)
ReplyDeleteWell damn. I'm late to this post, so I'm sure you're not furious anymore...so sorry I wasn't here to help!
