Considering I woke up this morning to the confirmation that this heel injury is going to be with me for a little while – yeah, I’m still limping pretty badly – I am really happy that I had a decent weigh-in. Hopefully this newest 3.2 pounds that I am now down will make me feel a little better if I see a significantly smaller loss (or, dare I say it, a gain) come next Saturday due to a decrease in mobility.
This weight is actually a very notable one too. Not only does it mean that I have now shed 75 pounds from my highest weight, but also that I am no longer in the obese category! I am an overweight gal and proud of it!!!
It has been exactly four months today since I began this journey and I have managed to lose an average of a half pound per day (over three and a half per week), totaling in the exactly 64 pounds I have dropped in these eighteen weigh-ins. It took me 121 days to lose ten points from my body mass index reading and I know that I am not done yet!
Truth be told, I slipped into the overweight category yesterday but decided to hold off on announcing it until my official weigh-in this morning. I was literally on the cusp and if I had gained just 0.1 of a pound from Friday’s weight I would not have been able to make the claim of overweight today, so I waited to be sure it wasn’t a fluke. It was not and I am so pleased!
When I told my husband about no longer being obese he said, “Yay, to my overweight baby!” followed up by a quick, “You’re the only person I could say that to who wouldn’t kill me.” Smirk. That’s my man!
