Doing The Best I Can

I spent nearly every free moment I had today cleaning in some form or another and I’m still not done. I just keep telling myself that it’s better than sitting on the couch like a lump.

I am exhausted and it is definitely time for bed. I feel bad because I know that my last couple of posts haven’t exactly been chocked full of riveting material, but I am just so busy and haven’t had time to let any deeper thoughts percolate in my head. I am hoping my schedule will open up after tomorrow so that I will have the opportunity to write something more interesting. But for now, I am simply going to continue checking in to the best of my ability.

- 11 glasses of water throughout the day
- 2 Mandarin oranges
- 1 light peanut butter and banana sandwich on whole wheat bread
- 1/4 banana
- 2 egg omelet with mushrooms and pepper
- 3/4 cup fat free peach yogurt with 1 cup Life Multigrains cereal
- 4 whole wheat crackers
- 1 1/2 cups Caesar salad with fat free dressing and croutons

- 45 minute step workout video
- 4 sets of 50 stomach crunches (2 straight, 1 right, and 1 left)
- 2 sets of 7 push ups
- 2 sets of 15 lunges for each leg
- 2 sets of 2 minutes of weight lifting with 5 lbs per arm
- 2 sets of 15 squats

  1. Just checking in on the challenge. I weighed in at 177.8 lbs. this morning. I'm not sure I'll reach the goal I set for myself, but hopefully I'll be closer to it!

  2. Hey girl! The way I look at it, all that cleaning burned a ton of calories and you get a clean house as a bonus!

  3. Just keep on keepin' on. You're staying with your program in the midst of a busy life. That's as good as it gets!

  4. Cleaning totally burns calories!!!

  5. Like they said above, cleaning burns calories. Add some music and bust that bootie while you are at it :)

  6. I agree with the "cleaning as exercise" brigade!

I think your post is perfectly interesting, just the way it is. :o)

  7. Yes, cleaning is hard work! I should do more of that!!! :-) Sometimes our bods are telling us something so don't feel guilty & glad you just rested the mind!

  8. Lots of cleaning = lots of calories burned! Great job!!!!

  9. You always make me want to up my ab routine.
going to fitness buddy and type in your weight and amount of time of doing your cleaning, I think you will be surprised how much you burn cleaning.

  10. I agree...add a little dancing in while you clean! Great workout!

  11. I actually was grooving away to some Christmas tunes for the first little while I was at it. :)
