Today was good, yet pretty low key. I managed to start a little bit of the Christmas baking, but not too much. I still have a lot left to do. I was good and didn’t taste anything though; not even a lick of the finger!
The walk my husband and I went on was great and my eating was on track. Overall, I think I am doing really well. I wish I had more to report, but the day just wasn’t all that exciting.

Do hope the Christmas baking session turned out okay. I'm off to make a batch of mince pies for my dad...
ReplyDeleteJust found your blog and the pics through your journey are amazing.
ReplyDeleteYou are doing so awesome. When's your next 5K???
ReplyDeletemmmm i'm eyeing those candy cane yogurt covered pretzels you had...they sound quite tasty!
ReplyDeleteMy trick to not taste anything during holiday baking is to add an extra cup of salt to everything. Then you find yourself not wanting to taste it or lick the beaters or anything because it tastes terrible. Hope that helps!
ReplyDeleteSometimes the uneventful days are the best--at least I think so! I haven't even thought of holiday baking because hubby is watching what he's eating, too. Good job with no licks while baking.
ReplyDeleteI need to make some treats for my son.
Sometimes DULL days are ok, though... gives you a break from all the other hustle and bustle of life! YIPPEE for your "dull day"!!!!
ReplyDeleteI think a boring day is great this time of year. Great job not tasting all those goodies as you cook.
ReplyDeleteI refuse to bake. I buy stuff for the family I can't stand, but they love.
ReplyDeletefor instance..oreo cookies. I hate them.
family-loves them.
everyone comes out ahead. lol
keep up the great job.
100in12, they are just from the bulk food section at my local grocery store. My husband bought a tiny bag and I sampled two. Very yummy!
ReplyDeleteJack, you are a fount of wisdom! Lol!
I suspect today will be relatively similar, so prepare yourselves for another uninspiring post!
I haven't started to think about Xmas baking. You are so on to it.
ReplyDeleteI would like to bake, but I don't trust myself AT ALL lately! I made (lower-fat) chocolate chip cookies yesterday, and ate 6 of them. And I licked the bowl. And the spoon. I don't know what's come over me.
ReplyDeleteWow, an hour and 50 minute walk?! I just managed a 15 minute one and hoped the whole time that my nose wouldn't fall off from the cold!
