Weigh-In For Week 10

I am going to be leaving really soon to head out to my first 5K, but I wanted to quickly post my weight before I left. This morning is 217.8 which is only 1.4 pounds down from last week’s weigh-in. I am still pleased that I am seeing a loss, but it is the smallest one (by far) I have noted since starting this blog which is a tad disappointing. And, really, I was truly hoping I would be able to say that I had passed the fifty pound mark today. Sigh…

At any rate, I am off to walk my race so wish me luck!

  1. Good luck! I admire your courage to tackle a 5K race! Unreal! I was looking at your weigh in results last night with insane jealousy!!! 5 pounds a week seems to have been your average. Amazing! I can understand begin disappointed with the 1.4, but it's a pound .4 and it's gone forever! It seems most people have weeks of 1 and 2 pounds losses. You sound like me with super high expectations for yourself! I can't wait to read about your race 266!

  2. Think of it as a pound of butter and a half...your body rid itself of that much fat this week. It is a loss! Awesome.

Congratulations on the 5K. You've come a long way, and must focus on that!

  6. Well, you aren't as big now, so your body doesn't take as much energy to operate, therefore you burn less when you exercise. As a percentage of your total weight, it is probably similar. You are moving in the right direction, keep going.

  9. Thank you all for supporting me - even when I am being stupid and not seeing the value of a loss! Kimmy, your butter comment in particular really puts it in perspective.
