Weigh-In For Week 14

As I have mentioned before I weigh myself every day. I like how it helps me keep track of my progress and I am one of those people who are able to do so without generally having an emotional meltdown when they see something they don’t like looking up at them. I don’t keep these numbers recorded anywhere – I simply change them on a computer document each morning – so the information I will give you here is remembered and may not be totally accurate since I have nothing to reference. However, I am confident that I am recalling this quite accurately and I thought I would post it to show what a strange week it has been:

Oct. 7 – 205.4 (Very excited because of a great weigh-in!)
Oct. 8 – 207.4 (Whoa! How did I gain two pounds overnight?!)
Oct. 9 – 207.6 (Uh… okay, go away water weight.)
Oct. 10 – 207.8 (Seriously?)
Oct. 11 – 207.6 (Come on!!!)
Oct. 12 – 206.8 (Right direction, but I’m still over Saturday’s weight!)
Oct. 13 – 204.8 (Finally under my last weigh-in, but this could go either way tomorrow.)
Oct. 14 – 203.0 (Phew!!!)

Normally I have some gains and some losses throughout the week, but they add up to a pretty consistent downward trend. So far, because of this, I haven’t really worried too much going into my weigh days, but I really did not know what to expect today. This whole week I have felt bloated and a little slower than usual. It wasn’t necessarily a bad feeling; I was just a bit off. Needless to say, I am actually very pleased with today’s number. It is a bit lower than my average loss, but it’s not the all time smallest one I have had. Plus, I was honestly not sure what the scale would say today. Until yesterday, the numbers showed a gain every time since last Saturday and they seemed determined to basically not budge for over half the week. All in all, I am pretty happy!

  1. Congrats on the loss! My scale looks a lot like yours does in the course of a week. As long as the longterm progress is down, the day to day doesn't matter :D

  3. I also weigh every day but expect the ups and downs. Soup with too much salt, eating too little one day that results in a loss that doesn't last, so many variables. I also suffer no meltdown on gain days. If you're REALLY doing the best you can (not fudging hoping it won't show up ... it will), the scale will head south. Whatever you're doing, it's working!

  4. Bless your heart Brittany....thank you so much for such a special award...truly. It brought a tear to my eye! Being able to ride the roller coasters for the first time in 20 years sounded so much more significant when I was reading it here, than when I actually posted about it. Seriously, it made me catch my breath while reading it, and reminds me of just how far I've come from my highest point of 340 lbs. Can you believe I'm 226 lbs now?? I still can't....all I can see usually is how far I still have to go, and if my goal weight is going to be low enough or if I need to drop another 20-30 lbs. Why can't I get satisfied???? lol I annoy the hell out of myself. But thank you again and again for the recognition...this award holds a special place in my heart. Thank you for thinking I was worth it. :) Oh!! And congrats on the loss!! And by the way, I can drop or gain up to 6 lbs overnight....no lie. I had to stop weighing every day...my brain and emotions couldn't handle it, lol.

  7. I only weigh myself once a week because my ego is too fragile to see the daily ups and downs but it seems to be working for you, awesome~

  9. Great loss this week...I can relate to this post, I keep a journal of my daily weight and am shocked to see how it changes from day to day...

  10. 203 I can only hope to see that one day in the early new year. I am one of those people that can only weigh myself every two weeks - even weekly makes me crazy. The mind games I play with myself if I lose and had eaten badly and gained after eating right just destroys me.
