Challenge Check-In And Making The Naughty List

So, my intention to post this morning obviously got shoved to the side. I do not foresee things slowing down before Christmas and that is a very frightening thought! My exercise even suffered today. I have no time! Aaahhh!!!

On top of just generally being crazy hectic, I realized today that my eating for the past two days has been very minimal. This is not on purpose and I really need to watch that. It's one habit that I seem to be having a difficult time breaking; I get caught up doing other things, lose track of time and everything else, and forget to eat. Yes, I feel pathetic knowing that I get that involved in things. Yes, I will work on doing better.

By the way, to anyone who looks at my food regularly you will notice that I have a McDonald's breakfast sandwich this morning. Rest assured that it was a planned oddity and I am still on track with mostly healthy alternatives. I haven't had the opportunity to have anything from their breakfast menu in months and today I knew that I would, so I opted for the treat. And, yeah, it was good!

It's the last check-in before the Christmas Challenge ends next week, so all participants should comment on this post with their updates to earn another entry for the prize draw. I hope everyone is managing to stay on track!

  2. Good for you staying on track this Holiday Season. I wish I could say the same. I am really struggling but still trying. :)
I don't think there is anything wrong with a little McDonald's every once in a while. I haven't had a McDonald's breakfast sandwich in about a year but I think of them often. :) I do miss them. I did have a Mcfish Sandwich last night minus the fries. It was awesome. I really thiink we need to have things we really want every so often. We just need to plan for them.

I just wanted to tell you that I love your blog. The amount of weight you have lost is awesome. I can't wait to read more!

  3. My goodness, what are you so busy with? Work? I have a thing for the McDonalds Mc Muffin on Griddle Cakes - don't even want to know the calories. I haven't had one in over a year.

My update as of this morning

    Goal to Christmas - 199
    Weight this morning - 197

Two pounds ahead of the game, going for 5 pounds ahead of the game by December 26th.

I put the cheque in the mail this week. I've also been busy with Christmas music performances. Have a happy day!

  4. I know it is hard but do try to find time for 266! And on the food, hey, if you plan for it, so be it. As long as we are aware & plan, that is key. PLUS, you were not eating that much in general due to the craziness! Enjoy!

  5. Great job, Amy and Dawne! You girls are rocking it!

Thanks again for sending the donation to that charity, Dawne; it's such a great cause and I am sure they will really appreciate your generousity. It's not work that's keeping me so busy, but all of the million or so projects I have to finish before Christmas, social commitments, shopping, baking, gift making and wrapping... For example, I just donated nine gingerbread houses that I made from scratch to a child care organization to hopefully help them raise a little money for their programs, but it took me about two weeks to do that project from start to finish (I worked on it more on some days than on others, of course). I am just in the typical over-committed state I often find at this time of the year!
