Content

My darling hubby and I ended up hitting a couple of really good Boxing Day sales and then going to see some friends for dinner, so our Christmas exchange was put off until really late this evening. We actually just finished and I can easily say that I am a very, very lucky woman. Even with a relatively tight budget this year my husband managed to give me amazing and thoughtful gifts. My absolute favourites are the two CD compilations that he put together on the computer for me (one of which I am listening to right now). I love that he put so much time and effort and love into my presents!

A few more holiday goodies and some leftovers made up the majority of my food today. The exercise was lacking, but I am feeling pretty confident that this will be the last time that happens for a while as things should start slowing down considerably for me now.

Doing my last official weigh in for 2009 this morning was an excellent experience and I am really proud of all that I have accomplished in regards to my health goals this year. There are still another few days left before New Year’s though so I will make sure that I stay on the ball and don’t become complacent about my choices as the year comes to a close. But for tonight, I am just going to retire to bed and cuddle up with the dearest man I have ever know. Tonight, I am going to forget about my goals, my health, and my drive and will simply lay in the arms of my husband and be content and at peace with the here and now.

  5. Great post! Being content can be the hardest place to be and yet when you're there it's the most wonderful place to be in life!

You must be in Canada!! Boxing day, ay? I lived on the border of B.C. and Washington state for almost 3 years and still have friends up in B.C. :)

Hope you enjoyed your relaxing time with hubby. Again I say, great post!
