Decent, Dull Day

Today was good, yet pretty low key. I managed to start a little bit of the Christmas baking, but not too much. I still have a lot left to do. I was good and didn’t taste anything though; not even a lick of the finger!

The walk my husband and I went on was great and my eating was on track. Overall, I think I am doing really well. I wish I had more to report, but the day just wasn’t all that exciting.

FOOD & BEVERAGES:
- 8 glasses of water throughout the day
- 1 banana
- 1 toasted whole wheat English muffin with light peanut butter
- 1 mug of steamed light eggnog and skim milk
- 4 whole wheat crackers
- 3/4 cup corn with margarine
- 3/4 cup sodium reduced fettuccine alfredo
- 1 roast chicken drumstick, skin removed
- 2 candy cane and yogurt covered pretzels
- 1 Mandarin orange
- 3/4 cup fat free peach yogurt

EXERCISE:
- 1 hour and 50 minute walk

  5. My trick to not taste anything during holiday baking is to add an extra cup of salt to everything. Then you find yourself not wanting to taste it or lick the beaters or anything because it tastes terrible. Hope that helps!

  6. Sometimes the uneventful days are the best--at least I think so! I haven't even thought of holiday baking because hubby is watching what he's eating, too. Good job with no licks while baking.

I need to make some treats for my son.

  8. I think a boring day is great this time of year. Great job not tasting all those goodies as you cook.

  9. I refuse to bake. I buy stuff for the family I can't stand, but they love.
for instance..oreo cookies. I hate them.
    family-loves them.
    everyone comes out ahead. lol
    keep up the great job.

  10. 100in12, they are just from the bulk food section at my local grocery store. My husband bought a tiny bag and I sampled two. Very yummy!

Jack, you are a fount of wisdom! Lol!

I suspect today will be relatively similar, so prepare yourselves for another uninspiring post!

  12. I would like to bake, but I don't trust myself AT ALL lately! I made (lower-fat) chocolate chip cookies yesterday, and ate 6 of them. And I licked the bowl. And the spoon. I don't know what's come over me.

Wow, an hour and 50 minute walk?! I just managed a 15 minute one and hoped the whole time that my nose wouldn't fall off from the cold!
